Pre-Build Checklist

Before recording or monitoring a build, please look over this checklist.

1 - Hardware is secure​

Make sure that the hardware is securely attached to your machine and all cables (camera, power, etc) are correctly inserted.

2 - Filters are installed and cleaned​

Make sure that any lens caps have been removed, and the correct NIR filters have been installed.

You should also check that the filters are clean and free of any smudges. We recommend this Thors Lab guide for how to care for your filters.

3 - Build chamber is illuminated​

Make sure the chamber lighting is turned on (if available). The better the lighting, the better quality the images will be as the device monitors your build.

4 - Cameras are live​

Navigate to the Settings > Configure Cameras page and check both the Optical and NIR to make sure frames are being received. A small loading spinner will be shown if there is an issue.

5 - Cameras are focussed​

Make sure both the Optical and NIR camera feeds have good focus and are not blurry.

6 - Camera feed is corrected​

Make sure both the Optical and NIR camera feeds are corrected. You will know if the feed is corrected if it appears to be a perfect aerial view of the baseplate rather than looking at the baseplate from an angle.
